A Step-by-Step Guide Volunteer at New Haven Reads
- Fill out a volunteer application here. Pick your area of interest (Literacy Tutor, Book Bank, Field Trip Reader) and submit the information.
- Complete an interview to gauge your preferences and help us match you to the perfect volunteer opportunity.
- Complete a background check (Literacy tutors and Field Trip Readers only) and we reach out to two of your references.
- Attend volunteer training sessions and complete orientation paperwork (signing off on our code of conduct).
